Heart Worms
It used to be that you only needed to treat your dog for heart worms during the summer months. Test your pup for heartworms with a blood test at your vets office and start them on a monthly round of protection. I use Sentinel Spectrum. Sentinel is a broad spectrum protective and even takes care of fleas for them. My vet advises giving the supplements to your dogs year round since so many parasites are breeding all the time. I’m not one to take chances so this is what I do. They taste great and my bulldog eats them with no coaxing at all. If you have a picky puppy just break it into small pieces and give it to them in some cream cheese. My dogs will take pills anytime with cream cheese. You can get them from 1-800-PetMeds or Chewy.com with approval from a vet. Here’s the link from Chewy: https://www.chewy.com/sentinel-spectrum-chewable-tablets/dp/173289
